These terms govern your use of the VINPulse website and the vehicle history reports we provide. Please read them carefully — by using our service you agree to them.
Last updated: 18 June 2026Welcome to VINPulse. These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the agreement between you and VINPulse UK Ltd for your use of our website and vehicle history reports. By accessing the site, placing an order or using a report, you confirm that you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use our service.
These Terms apply to every visit you make to our website and to every report you order from us. They contain important information, including limits on our liability and details of your cancellation and refund rights, so please read them before placing an order.
We may provide separate terms for specific products or promotions. Where those apply, they form part of your agreement with us alongside these Terms.
VINPulse is operated by VINPulse UK Ltd, a company registered in England & Wales.
In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" refer to VINPulse UK Ltd. "You" and "your" refer to the person using our website or ordering a report.
We provide on-demand vehicle history reports that bring together vehicle data from a number of official and commercial sources. Depending on the report you choose, this may include MOT history, mileage records, outstanding finance, insurance write-off markers, stolen-vehicle markers, and ownership and registration details.
A report is a snapshot of the records available to us at the moment you run your search. It is an information service to help you make a more informed decision — it is not an inspection of the vehicle, a valuation, a warranty, or professional, legal or mechanical advice.
Please read this carefully. Our reports rely on data supplied by third parties. We present that data faithfully, but we cannot guarantee that every record is complete, current or free from error, because we do not create or control the underlying source data.
Vehicle data is drawn from sources that may include the DVLA, the DVSA (MOT records), the Police National Computer, UK finance houses, and insurance and anti-fraud registers such as MIAFTR. These sources update on their own schedules, and records can be missing, delayed or incorrectly recorded at source.
Because of this:
To place an order you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. By ordering, you confirm that this is the case and that the information you give us is accurate.
You are responsible for entering the correct registration mark or VIN. Reports are generated for the exact vehicle identifier you submit, and we cannot refund a report run against details you entered incorrectly (see section 9).
The price of each report is the price shown at checkout at the time you order. Prices include any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders you have already placed.
When you submit an order and payment is taken, a contract is formed between you and us for that report or bundle of reports. Payment is processed securely by our payment providers; we do not store your full card details.
Where you buy a bundle of report credits, those credits are tied to your purchase and may be used as described at the point of sale.
Reports are digital and are generated and made available to you immediately after payment, typically within seconds. We will also make the report available to you by email and/or on screen as described at checkout.
If a report fails to generate for technical reasons, please contact us and we will either re-run it or refund the relevant payment.
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, consumers normally have a 14-day right to cancel a purchase of digital content or services. Because our reports are digital content delivered immediately, by placing your order and asking us to generate the report straight away, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose this 14-day cancellation right once the report has been generated.
Separately from your statutory rights, we offer a goodwill guarantee: if a report fails to provide the information it promised, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we will give you a full refund. This guarantee does not cover situations where the underlying records simply contained no adverse information to report, or where details were entered incorrectly.
None of the above limits the rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including the right to a remedy if a service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill, or if digital content is not as described or of satisfactory quality.
Reports are provided for your own personal or internal business use in connection with buying, selling or valuing a vehicle. You may keep, save and share an individual report for that purpose.
You must not:
We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZA543291) and we handle personal data in line with UK data protection law. How we collect and use your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Information contained in a vehicle report relates to a vehicle and its records. You must use any personal data that may appear in a report lawfully and only for the permitted purposes set out in section 10.
The VINPulse name, logo, website, report formats, software and all related content are owned by or licensed to VINPulse UK Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. Buying a report gives you the right to use that report as described in section 10, but does not transfer any ownership of our intellectual property to you.
We take reasonable care to provide the Service with reasonable skill and to present vehicle data accurately. However, as explained in section 5, the data originates from third parties and we cannot guarantee it is complete, current or error-free.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law:
We are not responsible for failures or delays caused by events outside our reasonable control, including the unavailability of third-party data sources, outages affecting the DVLA, DVSA or other providers, or interruptions to internet or payment services. Where such an event prevents us from delivering a report, we will refund the relevant payment.
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time — for example, to reflect changes in the data we can access, in our pricing, or in the law. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the "last updated" date shown above. Changes do not apply retrospectively to orders you have already placed.
We may suspend or withdraw access to the Service, or refuse or cancel an order, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, used the Service unlawfully, or where we are required to do so. Where we cancel an order you have paid for and you are not at fault, we will refund it.
If something has gone wrong, or you have a question about these Terms, please contact us at support@vinpulse.co.uk or through our contact page. We aim to acknowledge every complaint promptly and to resolve it fairly.
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them or your use of the Service are governed by the law of England & Wales. The courts of England & Wales will have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the UK you may bring proceedings in your local courts. Nothing in this section removes any protection you have as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will continue to apply. If we do not enforce a right immediately, that does not mean we give it up. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another organisation, but this will not affect your rights. These Terms are between you and us; no one else has any right to enforce them.
